CrossFit methodology recognizes ten general physical attributes. These are Cardiovascular/ Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Co-ordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. You are as fit as you are competent in each of these ten attributes of fitness. At CrossFit Pella we believe that fitness is about performing well at any and every task imaginable. We manipulate each of the energy systems that power all human function to achieve all-round athleticism.
CrossFit Pella focuses on training your body to move the way it is meant to – increasing your energy, health and physical performance. We increase your levels of general athleticism by training you through constantly varied exercise sequences – the body is then forced to adapt. The general idea behind CrossFit is to do constantly varied, functional movements at high intensity.
All exercises prescribed in the “Workout of the Day” (WOD) are adaptable to suit your personal fitness and skill level, and will help you reach your fitness goals faster and more effectively than any other program out there. If you need adaptions, our skilled and certified coaches can make those adaptions for you as well.

Unlike the traditional gym membership, we don’t offer open gym hours, we have a “closed class” booking system; our members train with an expert coach or coaches every time they workout. This coach’s priority is your workout, they don’t do the workouts with you.
At CrossFit Pella workouts are 100% supervised, and you are coached every step of the way to achieve amazing results.

CrossFit Pella’s workouts are constantly varied, you can expect workouts to include anything from calisthenic body-weight exercises like squats, sit-ups and burpees, to using a variety of equipment like medicine balls, kettle-bells and box jumps, gymnastic based movements such as ring dips and pull-ups, to weightlifting with barbells and dumbbells.
We strive to blur the line between “cardio” and “strength” training — we blend our programming to match the uncertainty of life. CrossFit training is functional and constantly varied. This constant variation will increase your all- round athleticism, and reduces the likelihood of you getting bored with your training.
Is CrossFit a sport? Or is it just a fitness regime?
Well… It’s both.
CrossFit as a sport is simple; the only way to win is to do more work… faster. However, not everybody at a CrossFit session is competing, many are simply enjoying the variety of the workouts and the physical fitness and fat loss results it delivers.
To some, the clock provides a measurement of how well they are improving from week to week and month to month, and to others it is a measurement of how well they completed a CrossFit WOD as a sport.
A CrossFit athlete is functionally strong, fast, flexible, and is at the top of the food chain when it comes to athletic competence. When CrossFit Pella talks about its “athletes” it refers to all of its members. At any CrossFit affiliated club throughout the world, you are certain to meet amazing athletes, but the majority of people are everyday people who have founda sport and community they enjoy being a part of.
Our passion is with human performance. We want your body to move and perform well. The CrossFit method is at its core a General Physical Preparedness (GPP) system. We also tailor Specific Physical Preparedness (SPP) systems for specialized athletes.
